Waxing hurts!!!

Quick question re fake tan - will it run onto the dress? I am a bit of a milk bottle and don't want to look ill in my ivory dress so wanted to get the Clarins or San Tropez tan done professionally, but I'm worried it will mark the dress (I am keeping it on all day and night so I may get a bit, erm, glowing / dewy if you know what I mean, especially in the disco. Will it run?
