I did it!!
I had my bikini wax done on friday afternoon, following your advice. And all I can say is "what was all the fuss about?"
It' hardly hurt at all, may be it's coz I went to the dentist to have a tooth crowned on monday so this was nothing.
On the original topic of this thread, I have decided not to fake it. For two reasons firstly as the wedding is only 7 weeks away so no body at the wedding will have a tan, particularly Adrian so I don't want I don't want to look orange compared to him in the photos. And secondly because it is still effectively spring so to have a tan of any sort will look a tad done.
Thank you all for your advice. Who knows next time I might try a 'Brazilian' bikini wax if I am feeling brave.
