Default You're right

Thank you for your kind words.

I almost agree with you on the money issue. Even though here in Mexico it's accustomable to ask for "padrinos" to help you pay your wedding, originally I wanted to pay for it all by myself, but that was in more than a year.

And I wanted to do as you say. I told her if we could get married *legally* and then proceed with the original plans for the ceremony and the "party".

She wanted to do it all now because it will loose significance over a year, and we would already have our baby which would make things difficult, and also everyone seems to agree.

So I decided to go along, that's why I'm trying to exhaust all the sources of income I can :-)

I truly don't feel comfortable with other people paying for most of our wedding, no matter how close we are, but I do hope to raise some additional money to invest in our new life.

Truth to be told, I do feel kind of ashamed, but I'll gladly do whatever it takes to give my bride a day she can remember (and thus, myself too).

Sincerely,
Ivan V.

PS: Officiating our wedding will cost us about $5,000 MXP (not including the church of course), which I'm guessing is about £400, so you'd think the government doesn't want many weddings to take place ;-)
