Its fine not to have a first dance if you don't want to. We did have a first dance but got people to join in half way through the song as we didn't want to be there all on our own. You don't have to have one at all if you don't want.

We did'nt send out wedding cake to anyone after the wedding. We just didn't think of it. We did give out a bit to some of my parents neighbours and then to our family and saved some for ourselves too. I took some down to the bridal shop on the Monday after the wedding as they had been so lovely. If you are going on honeymoon straight after though you might need to delegate this to someone else.

We gave out our pressies to the wedding party and said thank you during the speaches which were at the end of the meal. You can do what you like though.

Asking your friends and family to take photos is great. We did this too and got some great photos. We put disposable cameras on the tables with a little poem asking everyone to use them. They were'nt great quality though. On our information sheet we asked everyone who took photos if they could get us a copy and got some fab photos from them. Might be worth asking guests to do that or if you have a camera, giving it to someone you trust and asking them to take lots of photos during the day. We gave our digital camera to my sisters boyfriend and he got lots of piccies for us.

We did get a few presents from people we didn't really know like friends of our parents but most of them had come to the wedding. It did seem a bit strange but we sent out thank you's to them.
