I totally agree with you too. I hold the opinion that spending thousands on one day when the money could go on something more worth while , is a waste. They say the average wedding costs £14K
and that too me is just too much!!

I\'m not having a big white dress but I am after something special...it seems that most of the magazines cater for the bride in white or ivory and I think this is unfair. There are plenty of people out there apart from me that want something a little different . When I talk about the plans of my day to some people I can see they are looking down on me because we aren\'t spending over £3K (honeymoon included)..we could easily afford the £14K wedding ..but why should we spend that much when we would prefer to spend it on something else (like a Smart car for me!!:D
