I've not been but a friend of mine had their wedding reception here and they said it was wonderful. She would definitely recommend it. I drive past it quite regularly and it's in gorgeous grounds. Don't think you could walk to the centre of Stratford (it's on a road leading to the centre but it would be a long walk I think!).
Menzies Welcombe Spa & Golf Club Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon - Menzies Hotels I've been walking near the grounds and it's lovely, feels like you're miles from anywhere. The hotel itself looks really grand and plush.
