Me and my mum did the same as Kas and took a nile cruise for a week from Luxor to Aswan, a great way to see lots of different temples/places of interest etc (although I did get a bit "templed out" by the end!) - we also took an extra inernal flight form aswan to the temple of abu simbel - a truly breathtaking piece of construction!
We then had 3 nights in cairo which was also fab, visiting museums and the puramids (and being offered 100 camels for my mum
)
I'd love to go again with Mark, and to try Sharm el Sheik/Red sea area.
