Yes yes and yes again! I'm a big NI plugger!! I really should go & work for the Tourist Board & get all this out of my system..

Check out some of the gorgeous places on the National Trust website for a start - Castle Ward.. then you can get the ferry across to Portaferry (where my mum's from!) and have dinner at The Narrows, and a lovely leisurely drive up Strangford Lough towards Newtownards, then climb up to Scrabo Tower to walk off dinner and see the sunset, and suitably refreshed, back in the car and home. Possibly my favourite part of the world, honest!

There's so much to see that people never think about (basically don't get out of the pub long enough!), and they think Belfast is all there is.

You really do have to drive up towards the Giants Causeway & do all the Glens of Antrim, stunning, really stunning. Maybe stop off at Ballygally Castle for a bar lunch, and head up to Glenariff Park first. If you need more info, Cor (if she's ever on here again!) would be the best person to ask - she knows Portrush etc. like the back of her hand.

Oh, and of course you can go to Carrickfergus and see the castle(see below!). And while you're there could you pop in to see my mum & give her a hug and tell her I miss her?? She'll gladly serve up a bumper lunch, as long as you wait for her to find her "best china"...LOL....
