Default Fish & Chips

I am soooooo tempted to ring H2B and get him to bring Fish & chips home with him tonight for tea!

I need to lose 1stone by December....but gahhh i'm so craving F&C!!!

Have been living on salads for 2 weeks. Yesterday I didn't eat a sinlge thing because I felt ill all day and now I want chippppppps and fish in batter!!!

I'm sick of salads and brown bread butties and jacket potatoes!!!

can I just pig out just this once today?? (oh yeah and i had a creme egg mcflurry on Monday!)

(I'm only having a 'monthly' and feel very stressed with house problems and I'm ill today with flu symptoms!)

So can I? <puppy dog eyes>

I'm with Mel I'm afraid!!

Why not do it yourself with potato wedges type oven chips- or get McCann chips, they're actually quite low fat (I think, you'd better read the packet first) and have that with a nice bit of grilled fish. Then you still get to have lashings of ketchup, but it's so much better for you!!

(snicker! right back at you!)

Chips are my fave so I allow myself to have it once a week - I go round to h2b's SIL and we sit and chat whilst we munch! It makes a really nice evening out of the house for very little money!

I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.

I have fish and chips all the time just of the frozen - cook it in the oven variety - much nicer - (I don't actually like chip shop chips) and no worse than any other sort of dinner. If you eat salads every night for dinner you will get mad cravings, eat a bit of what you like but a small bit or a lower fat type bit.

I never eat it all anyway - H2B always finishes my left overs lol

The thing is, I'm only lil and can live and be full on one meal a day and everyone already says I don't eat enought!

MIL2B wonders how I'm still alive (shes the eldest of 7 siblings so has always cooked HUGE portions) - but cos I'm in the wheelchair i don't burn anything off or get my metabolism going.

hmpfh!

Cupid the thing is that you can't give up food you still have to have some, but when you give up cigarettes thats it no more. That's why I think dieting must be harder than giving up smoking.

(but then I've never smoked so I don't know)

Niddy,

found a brilliant alternative! Birds eye make some delicious breadcrumbed cod and you can by low fat oven chips. The whole meal ranks up about 500-600 cals!

nay bad and far nicer than chip shop grease.

That's the one I ended up buying to satisfy my craving, and I had oven chips...<proud of self>

It was very nice indeed and no greasy fat! Hooorah!
