Food for thought.......
This is what I learned at night school on Thursday and I thought you should all be informed, if you didn;t know already....
When you have a big meal, your brain sends a message to your blood supply and redirects it all to your stomach to make it digest your dinner. Your blood is so busy doing this, it doesn't bother sending lots of blood to your brain or your limbs....
Which is why you go all sluggish and lethargic after a meal!!! So remember - if you can't be bothered going to the gym after a big meal - let the feeling pass rather than giving up on the idea!!!!
I am the queen of useless information...

If I tell you, od you promise not to think I'm really fit and healthy and therefor throw me out of AbFlab???
I'm on an exercise to music course, which will qualify me to teach basic aerobics. We have to learn a lot of stuff about health, bones, the body and nutrition, which is NOT my strong point.... but sometimes I find out handy things....

I could give you a holiday down here in return for a personal trainer for a week (yes that means YOU!). How does that sound?

I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.
Originally posted by nikki Laurie, me as a personal trainer would be dreadful!! I;d be getting up halfway through a routine and saying, "Shall we have chocolate?"

Good on you Nikki! I used to teach aerobics etc (back in the days when I was fit!) and really enjoyed it. I also did a similar sounding course. You can pick up some really useful (not useless!!! ) info.
Unfortunately, I gave up all forms of exercise when I went to uni, and have never managed to get quite as fit again I'm working on it though - I want toned abs again!!
So really there's no need to feel bad after a nice meal then? right? it is all normal to have a rest rather than a walk...
And feel good about ourselves
That is motivating at least!
Next time I 'll definetely consider that before to think about eating large or not...
Because isn't it about uo to 4 hours to allow digestion?

Thanks Collette,
Everyone at work thinks I'm mad since I earn quite a bit as a teacher and I could never equal that as an aerobics instructor ..... but I'm doing it cos I really enjoy it!! And I'm learning a lot about how to look after myself and be fit and healthy which is very important to me.......
Good on you for your course too - I don;t think it's 'blonde', I think it's important to do what you want to do......
