Elliptical Trainer - Wedding Forum

Had anyone got one of these?

Mt SIL2B bought one before her wedding and lost over 2 stone on it (though she only paid £100 for hers

)

I am seriously thinking about getting one.

I am a gym member but I only go at weekends because my gym doesn't open until 6am and by that time I am on the train on my way into work! By the time I get home in the evening (any time between 8pm-8:30pm) its a bit too late. I did go in the evening once, got into the car park and then came right back out and drove home again - it was packed and there was nowhere to park!

So, I thought with the trainer I could go home, do it in the front room and not have to compete for a parking space.

What do you think?

It looks pretty good to me. Though I get bored quickly so would be scared to spend that much on it.

If you do get it, would you keep going to the gym at weekends?

I bougt some hand weights the other day as well as strap on ones and a skipping rope. I haven't used them yet!!!

sounds like a good idea to me. that is what i used to do but i lacked the motivation to do it on my own!

If you are motivated then i think it will be good.

Hello!

Oh yes I'd still go to the gym at the weekend. I go every sat and sunday morning!

It really annoys me that I pay all that money and can't bloody well park in their car park during the week!

They have a thing in the gym called a Cross EFX machine - have you tried it? Its like the one in the pic but you dont have to do the arm bit, you hold onto the top and your feet slide up and along the machine - its great! I listen to some music and pretend I am in a club and dance away - bet I get some weird looks but I keep my eyes shut the whole time so couldnt say for sure...

I am thinking of taking a pic of my dress to prop up infront of me as I work out - keep me going!

we have an EFX machine too and i at the moment only use the running machine but i am going tomorrow and i think i will use this!

Can you not borrow SIL2B's? If she only used it before the wedding.....

I asked her when I was last in Wales.

Both her and her husband have just qualified as firefighters and she has to be very very fit.
She said I could borrow it but I found out she still uses it heaps and would feel awful taking it away from her so I decided to say thanks but not to worry.

They took us to their fire station and showed us the entry test that had to do to see if they were fit enough to even start the course, and my god it was awful! I really admire what they have achieved.
