Default Tips on getting rid of 'baby belly'?

Hello

It's been a while since I was last in here, last time I was telling you about my plans to lose my baby weight! Well, I'm pleased to say I've managed to shift a stone and a half (it has taken aaaaages!). I'm still wanting to lose a bit more but my main aim is to get rid of my horrid baby belly! TMI but I currently sport a rather unattractive jelly belly which features an impressive overhang. Yuk. I've never had an overhang before and I'd rather not keep it.

Can you please tell me how I can get rid of it? I'm trying gym stuff but can't get there often enough so need things to do at home.
Thanks for your help!
x

Hmmm, I don't know...alas! Being 34 weeks pregnant means that the initial stage for me is to have the baby....but know from last time I will get the dreaded overhang...bleeuuurgh!
Well done for losing the weight though, that is great. If you believe that 10 Years Younger lady...sugery is the answer..but hopefully there is something more cost effective and less serious than a "Mummy tuck"! she types hopefully.......

Really it depends on whether it is excess skin (can't shift that), excess fat externally, or excess fat internally. I've got spare skin so I'm stuck with what I've got. Overall cardio will burn fat generally so will reduce the amount of fat in your body. Exercises to increase the resting tone of your abs may help you hold in your stomach better without trying. Situps only give you a show off six pack and only if you've got no spare fat or skin!!!

I still have mine 7 years later, I am thinking I'll sprog out two more eventually then treat myself to a tummy tuck. Massive pants seem to work though

Maybe I'll follow your lead Rools and go for a tummy tuck when I'm sure all the babies are out of the way!

In the meantime I'll take your advice Ang and track down some big pants (very distressing!) - can you get some that go all the way up to your boobs? Otherwise the overhang will simply move upwards - yuk yuk! Sorry, TMI again...

And I'll persist with doing sit-ups and strangely random pilates poses in the vain hope that it might work.

There are other brands etc, but I had one of these for being a bridemaid and found it very comfy
