What do you think - humaly possible?
I very quietly started a diet three weeks ago and joined a gym. In the first two weeks I lost 6lb. This week I've had a bad day - Bank Holiday Monday when we went out for dinner and wine with the kids (no wine for them) and also, after shopping for hours on Weds I had half a portion of chow mein.
Today when I weighed in I had gained the whole 6lb back again. I put Leo on the scales and he had gained 8lb but George was the same weight as ever. I tried about a dozen times and always weighed the same.
Is it possible I have put it all back on from one and a half good meals and a bottle of wine?

errr that sounds a little odd. also 8lb for a toddler is MASSIVE so I'd be tempted to chuck em out

My Mum moved her scales from the laminate floor of her bathroom to the carpet in her bedroom whilst having the bathroom done. That weekend she put on two and a half stone. She has new scales now and thet live in the bathroom again.

When I had scales in the house I only ever weighed myself in the kitchen that wasn't carpeted. Weighing on carpet for some reason puts weight on! I don't have scales anymore because they're evil. I just get weighed at fat clinic these days and only ever want to know what I've lost rather than how much I weigh.

I tried moving mine to the bedroom, which is carpeted, and I actually lost weight. I was 7st 13lb. I haven't been that since I got Beijing Flu at university!!!
Sadly when I put them back in the bathroom I gained all the weight back again. I have decided to join Slimming World in the town - at least that way I can pay a fiver a week for a correct weigh in!

Had you just had a big wee, the time you lost 6lb, and in contrast, had you just had a big drink when you had regained the weight? I know that this probably doesn't account for 6lb...but the error on this scales is quite large anyway.
Hope the slimming world goes well. My MIL thinks it is great, and it certainly works for her (curse her!!! she types jealously)

You''d need to go to one meeting or join online to get the booklet - it's basically a very low fat, but eat til you're not hungry, diet. On RED days you can eat all the lean meat an fish you want, on GREEN, all the pasta, rice, potatoes etc you want. You have Healthy Extra choices (small amount of bread, cheese, olive oil, pulses etc) and also there are Free Foods - Quorn, eggs and so on - and all fruit is free, as is most veg on RED and all veg on GREEN. It DOES work, but you need the booklet to make it work all the time! You're also allowed 15 'syns' ('pointed' treats) a day.
