As you have probably noticed, neither myself nor Bev have been around the site much recently - we simply haven't had the time to devote to the site, to help it grow into what it can become. Groovy is a great little family, and we're proud of what it has become, but the time has come to move on.
Groovy has been sold, and the new owner will be coming on board soon. You may notice a brief moment when the site is down, while it transfers to the new owner -- it is staying on the same server, so your posts will not be lost! It's just how things work with domain name switches, etc.
Thanks for five years of Grooviness, if you ever need to contact me, you can do so through the forum or email to mark.bridgeman AT gmail.com.
Thank you for creating such a great site for us, I'm itching to know whether you got a good price
I'm scared that Groovy will change too much but will wait and see.
Hmmm... I wonder who the new owner is and what they're like.

I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.
You've both done amazing things by bringing Groovy about and I hope that we can all help it continue that way no matter who our new owners are! (I don't like that word, I never thought of you both as our owners!)
Good luck to you both for the future and definately keep us updated, you're still part of our groovy world!

Ooo that soon? That's good in a way, no offense - we're not keen to see you go but i am sure there have been a lot of people wondering what's in store for Groovy now so hopefully the new owner will be along soon to let us know.
One good thing about Groovy is that it's the people who have made it the community that it is, and I know I'm not going anywhere so hopefully the fantastic place that Groovy is won't change!!
We will miss you both so much though!

My only worry is that the site will become much more commercial. I would be seriously put off of being here if I was bombarded with advertisements and pop up's every time I logged on.
The adverts we have now are fairly distracting.
Thank you again Bev and Mark.
