Default I bought a little rug kit!

I've been wanting to do a rug for years so whilst on 'sew and so' yesterday I spotted a small one (20cmx20cm) to have a go at. It's a strawberry so wish me luck!

Good luck Beth, its a bonny wee rug!! I've done a couple of latch hook rugs and they've been pretty fun

I'm not sure if your kit contains anything to finish the back of the rug, so here are a few things that I wish I'd known about when I was finishing mine!!

Rug finishing items from Sew and So: http://sewandso.co.uk/ran1079-0.html - The self-adhesive tape would have been a godsend if I'd known about it! And the foam backing would be fab if you're expecting the rug to be used a lot...

Lakeland do a non-slip coating so that your rug won't slide around on any surface but can still be repositioned...

Thanks for that Angela I didn't know about that so it's great information for me

Might make it into a cushion as it's only a tiny rug, or hang it on a wall....

But I can't start it until I've finished my current project which I'm stitching as a pressie for my Mum at the wedding

It's only tiny Nikki, about 20cmx20cm so I don't want to put it on the floor Think I'll try and make it into a cushion, if that's easy to do?

Oh Beth, that stitching for your mum is gorgeous. Something to treasure always. Are you nearly finished it?
