I tried it but dont have the patience so only make them when im in the mood.
My mum on the other hand is absolutley fantastic at it and makes a few dozen a week to keep her stocks up and she sells them as a little sideline to get her some pocket money.
We went to a huge Craft Fair at Thorpe Park on Sunday and she stocked up for pretty much the next 6 months and got some really lovely stuff.
Wow! Your cards all look amazing. I make some cards as well - did all my Christmas cards last year, which I was very proud of. I'd post a piccie but I've never understood how to make them smaller so that I can post! Much as I would love to emboss and use the fortune's worth of heater, stamps, inks and powder I have, I just cannot do embossing, it always bleeds or is too thin! Any tips??

What bleeds? The ink? Are you using right kind?

THe image resizer on this page is the most useful thing ever. Once you install it, if you right click on the images in Windows Explorer, it should give you a "resize images" option and you cna then choose. If you choose custom and go 450 X 450, it should fit on groovy.

HI Guys, have been reading your messages about cards etc. I started in October 2003 and now have a successful card business and am now venturing into wedding stationery. I have asked a few shops to take my cards and now have 3-4 under my belt. Lots of people want handmade cards and I personalise them if people want with the persons name they're giving too. Really lovely. It is expensive doing this but Mad About Cards is a really good site to use, although they have just put up their minimum spend to £60! My advice with anyof your cards is to keep it simple, less clutter, they stand out more. Good way to get business is to take them around schools, businesses, I took mine to the ladies at the bank! Ask your local schools if they have Ladies shopping evenings and have a stall, be brave and get yourselves out there! I am now making handmade albums, invites, thank you cards, christening cards etc. and have just done 3 wedding fairs, expensive to get into but worth it. Keep up the good work. Claire I used to do embossing on the cheap cos the expensive things the heat gun. I used to use the hotplate instead
