Candlemaking?
Anyone make their own candles?
I bought a starter kit yesterday in the Allders sale, I had £20 in vouchers to use up, and since they're closing down there was mountains of crap to get through and this was the only thing I fancied, since my dad used to make candles.
anyone got any stories/tips to share???

I'm just into doing this. I bought a kit this week.
It's really easy to do.
I've even ordered moe stuff off ebay.
You know me, give me any crafty challenge and I'll give it a go

I did candlemaking at flexitime in school. I've got loads or different shaped moulds. Its really easy today. I keep meaning to go up in the loft and have a go at making a pillar candle and adding coffee beans to the melted wax. As the candle burns you get a waft of coffee. Mmmmmmm

Sounds lovely!
I may try making one this weekend, but may need to buy an old saucepan at the car boot sale first!

my aunt used to make candles as a part time business. years ago, but i think she made quite a bit of money out of it. she made them and supplied them for different craft shops and took them to craft fairs and stuff too. i always loved going into her house as there was always a lovely smell!

God no, that'll be recorded and watched when get up. Damn, that means if I go to the car boot, there'll be more chance of hearing the result before I get round to watching it.
