What a great idea!!! I've joined.

Last night found the cross stitch that I bought a few years ago but never started. Looking at what every one else is doing has given me the inspiration to start up my crafty skills again.

I'll have to scan in my encaustic art piccies!!

Ooo, Encaustic art is fun. I've only ever seen it done but one of these days I'll have a go at that too!

Yes, it is great fun and easy to do!!!

I went to a craft fair before christmas and this bloke was charging £1 to have a go on a C6 piece of paper. He must have made a fortune as the 5 mins that I was there at least 10 people had a go!

£1 a go? Not bad return. I used to go to a craft group on a Monday night and they had encaustic art equipment but I went about 3 or 4 times and no one talked to me at all so left before I got a chance to try it.

That is so ignorant. you would have thought that being a club, someone would have sparked up some sort of conversation with you. I would have left if I were in your shoes too.

I was too shy to have ago myself (as it did seem to be kiddies having a go) but i just knew that I wanted it. So I got a starte kit for Christmas. You'll have to let me know once you've tried it for yourself!!

http://www.encaustic.com/

You'd have thought that someone would have at least made small talk! and it was £5 per night!
