Default Your new wee star card

Here's a card I made yesterday for Niall's friend's new wee boy. I plan to write "welcome to your wee star" on the inside.

Thats lovely!! Your friend will really it Rachael!

Where do you girls buy your supplies, and how much does it cost to have everything you will need?

I'd love to make my own cards for friends. Is it very hard??

I get my stuff from www.madaboutcards.com or Craftadelic. It isn't the cheapest thing to do initially but it is a lot of fun and people appreciate a home made card. Hardest thing is remembering what designs you've already sent to people and coming up with something new each year!

KM- ive got alot of my stuff from Ebay !!! its suprising how much cheaper you can get the stuff from there than craft shops. Other than that the other things ive got from Dainty supplies in washington. www.daintysupplies.co.uk

As rach said its not cheap to start off but when I worked out how much I spend on buying cards for everyone during the year its amazing how much you do actually save. and once youve got the stuff you can make loads of cards.

I think its just the expense to start off with as you think your spending an absolute fortune its just that your buying everything in 1 go rather than just buying 1 or 2 cards each month but over the year it is cheaper. when I worked it out I based it on an average of £1.50 per card just for my family during the year it worked out £91 !!!! thats without xmas cards and people in work etc etc.

I think ive spent about £60 on stuff but thats enough to make about 100 cards and probably more !!!

its really fun, im completely addicted already and ive only been doing it 2 weeks !

go on give it a go

love
claire
