I'm here! I personally have never felted anything, though there is lots about it in my Stitch and Bitch books. If you go past a bookshop soon, there is a whole page of tips on p.157 in Sitch 'n Bitch Nation. Basically Dawn Dish detergent is best; place small items in a pillowcase and safety pin it shut, then wash with old jeans for agitation; be wary of light coloured yarn as they will have been bleached and the fibres weakened. All of the projects in the books used natural fibres, though I don't know if that is essential.

I must have a go at felting something. I finished my pink fluffy jumper this afternoon and am very pleased with it. I shall pose in it for a photo later! I have now just started a trial pair of trousers for Nathaniel whilst I am awaiting my next wool delivery. Then I will be spoilt for choice. I have loads of wool to do Nathaniel and Leo a jacket each, some to do me a scarf, some for a good pair of trousers for Nathaniel (it is a 3 ply pattern and I am doing them in DK, so am working out the sizing at the moment) and a jumper for Nathaniel.

Let me know how the felting goes!

Nicola
