Question Mirrors - good price?

I have found sets of 4 mirrors, either 20cm round or 20cmx20cm square (with rounded edges) on the IKEA website for £3.99. Is this quite good or has anybody found better for a similar size?

I quite fancy the square ones as I'm standing a tall thin round vase (see pic) with flowers in the centre of it so could have red tealights in the corners.

Thats exactly what ive been looking for!!! I think the square with red tealights would be gorge (if you dont want to see the silver cups of the tealights let me know as I do some that have clear plastic cups that look gorge!)

If you dont mind Lauz, ill be heading to Ikea for a few sets.....

Go for it P, happy to help

I think the silver cups will be okay seeing as our scheme is red and silver with a splash of black but if you have a piccie of the clear ones, I'd love to see them.

I think square Laurie with those vases, and then tea lights in each corner, look so twinkly and reflect off the bottom of the vase. How lush.

I went to Ikea at about half ten last night and got my mirrors. They didn't have any of the ones I posted above but when I looked at the display ones, I decided they were too small anyway. I did, however, find 30cm square mirrors being sold in packs of 4 for £4.99 so bought two of them

Also grabbed a few more tealight holders and the red sand I wanted for the vases.

Today I ordered the red glass pens so that Al can get busy writing the placemarkers next week whilst he's off work still.

Feeling quite wedding-y really

I just need to get down to Asda now for the red tealights, unless Paula can offer something??

Awwww... thanks P, that's a very generous offer.

I don't think we could accept it though as we'll be needing quite a few (depending on how long they burn) as we need 35 (or more if they burn out quickly) for the placemarkers and a further 24 (or more) for the table centres. So at the minimum I'd need 60 but I'd probably go for 120 to be sure they'd last for the duration of the meal, which allows 2 per person/table dec.

Well, they last around 6 hours at a time and having 'raced' them against the standard Tescos ones (how sad am I!?) they always last longer!

Ill send you one and you can burn it and see what you think?

x

and you could accept my offer!!

6 hours would be long enough for the placemarkers so I'd only need to double up on the table decs to make sure they last the night. So that'd be... what... 83 plus a few spares.

Are you sure P? I don't want to take advantage!

Well, theres 12 in a box so if you had 7 boxes you would have 84 and I could send a couple of spares if that made you happier.

They are a really beautiful red colour and as they burn they turn to a clear liquid which looks beautiful in the clear plastic cups.

Honestly, if you like what I send, take them as my wedding pressie to you and Al and Ill feel like I was part of your day then!
