Thumbs up I did it - my DIY dyed shoes

And I have to say that I'm rather pleased with the results Now I just need to scotchguard them so I don't end up with red feet

Here's a before and after shot - 'before' was shot in natural daylight whereas 'after' was shot under artificial light but that didn't seem to make too much difference.

It's not an exact colour match but it's close enough, and it only cost me £3!!

Married Al on Valentines Day 2006

Wyatt born 13th January 2007 & Baby #2 due 7th January 2009

I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.

very good lauz you are brave attempting that on those shoes esp since they are not the cheapest of shoes if you cock up ! I wore Katrina by Katz for my wedding and they are very comfortable. the only thing i would suggest is to wear them round the house before hand (with a pair of socks over the top so you dont get them dirty) that way you will break them in a bit so they wont cripple you on the day.

well done you for doing a fab job of dying them

love
claire

They look great Laurie.

I had my shoes died after my wedding and every time I wear them the dye comes off over my feet.

I used Dylon Satin Shoe Dye, which comes in 6 shades (I think) so the shade I used was red, obviously.

It was actually really easy, plus I always knew that if I mucked it up I still had the option of sending them off to get done professionally.
