Default My Save the Date prototype card

So what do people think?

In the final ones I hope to use sliver hearts and you can remove the elastic and tag off the card and use it as a bookmark.

I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.

Thanks everyone.

I had doubts about the bride icon since a lot of people (well any man that looks at it) think that is a shot glass! Now I just need to source all the materials and the joy of my card production line will begin

Those cards look great, I like the idea of turning them into bookmarks afterwards. Very unique. Well done

Those are really beautiful, Thela. Good idea making the bookmarks too.

We don't do "Save the date cards" here in Switzerland (read about them the first time on here lol ) May I ask, how far in advance to you send those and when do you send the formal invitation?

Thank you.

I'm going to make invitations, order of day and thank you cards. They will all have the "Save the Date" side of the tag with corresponding wording just stuck directly on the card.

Haven't decided how to carry the theme onto the placement cards yet.

Thank you.

I'm going to send my Save The Date cards out in April this year. I'm getting married on a Sunday and it will be the one after Easter. So I thought I should give plenty of notice in case any body wanted to book time off work. (I know for me Easter holiday gets booked up really fast)

I'm not sure about when to send out the formal invites. I'm thinking maybe sending them in mid-January at the moment.
