Default Look what I've just made

It would have been better if I had made them a bit faster, as they will grow out of them soon, but how cool are these jeans? They were knitted with índigo dyed cotton which fades as it is worn. I am quite pleased them them.

I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.

Where did you get the patteren?
could it be done by hand or does it have to be done on a machine?

Wow they are brilliant. I love the little name tag on the back.

What a great idea and I've never seen anything in the shops like that. Perhaps you could start a little business making them. They're fab.

The pattern was from www.knitty.com. They are called Blu. Although they were a lot faster on the machine (I am an incredibly slow knitter) it would have been better by hand as I have only worked out how to do one stitch on the machine, which meant a heck of a lot more embroidery on them.

It is just a shame that they took me three weeks to sew together as they would have had more wear. Still, Jill - do you want Alex's pair for your Alex when he has grown out of them? And if anyone wants to call their baby Theo, they are all yours!
