I am having a small crisis with my sewing. I had a little stash of large buttons, but they are no more what with having made so many hats now. Does any one know a good stockist of cheap buttons, around 3cm in diameter? The shop in town had some, but they were about £1.50 each, and that dramatically cuts into my profit margin! I am not too bothered what they look like. Otherwise I am going to have to hit the charity shops and inspect buttons on all their clothes! In the meantime, I just have small ones which I hope will work.
At the moment I can't see any huge ones on there. Or rather I can, but they are clown ones and are way bigger than I need! I want the auction to be ending quite soon too, as I have hats waiting to go out. I shall keep an eye on there though.
I'm finding loads on there now. I don't know why I didn't see them when I looked last night. I have even found some fab tractor ones. I need to knit a jacket for Nathaniel now to put them on! Perhaps not. I don't have time to knit!
My Nanna used to work at a sewing place and fecthed home literally hundreds of buttons which I inherited. I have about half a carrier bag full of all shapes and sizes so I'll have a sort through

That would be fantastic Ang. I have a small tub of buttons and am seriously considering upgrading. There are loads on the bay of big lots for not much money. Not necessarily the size I want, but I used to love playing with my Great Aunt's button jar when I was little, and I never have the right buttons that I need for anything. I shan't buy any tonight though. I have to go and tidy the freezer now as Mark is on the way home from Tesco with a boot full of reduced to clear food!
What about the threading ones that you get in places like early learning centre? They would have the novelty childlike feel about them too!

The mention of my child's name may bring tears to my eyes,
But it never fails to bring music to my ears.
If you are really my friend,
let me hear the music of her name!
It soothes my broken heart and sings to my soul!
