Default Weez - Look

I've made that dress, or at least a slight variation on it. Have you tried it yet? I felt that there was a glaring omission in the instructions, so I ignored them and made it up as I went along. And being applique obsessed, I felt it needed a flower sewing on rather than a yoyo.

It is a rubbish photo, as I need to take it in daylight. I will do a better one for the shop tomorrow. What do you think? It'll be easy enough to scale up, though I suspect for an older girl the armholes will need to be higher.

I haven't made it yet, I have been busy making a skirt for the rocky horror tomorrow and a pinafore for Fifi. I have a bit of a problem with time at the moment, and having the sewing machine on the top floor and the iron on the ground floor doesn't help!

I love your dress though! it looks really cute, I think you need to get one of the boys to model it to see what its like on

I have enjoyed looking for suitable fabrics, I got some lovely bits in John Lewis's last week. I am planning a trip to the patchwork shop in Rochester soon, I think I could get some lovely accent fabrics there!

It soothes my broken heart and sings to my soul!

I got a fantastic pack on the bay this week. 1kg of fabric, 47 pieces of 100% cotton. Every piece different. All a reasonable size - possibly big enough to make a small something for Fifi. They were £12.99 inc 1st class recorded delivery. Fantastic.

I would get the boys to model it, but I think it might be a bit short!
