I am curious, what is everyone working on right now? I am doing a gorgeous bookmark... I'm planning on doing a couple of cushions from the same range to brighten up our gloomy front room too! (What sane person puts a navy carpet into a tiny room??)
I am trying to get back into cross stitch as I lost interest a year or so ago, but I prefer to do the small samplers that come free with the magazines or any small card sized ones. As I get so impatient and I need to see results immediately.
My fave ones to do though are dolphins, penguins and Christmas cards.

I used to love doing cross stitch a few years back and then gave it up. Ive seen loads of lovely things in the shops lately and have decided that when we move in ill take it up again and our home will be decorated with lovely criss stitch pictures and cushions!! Oh, Mark will be pleased!!
Thats the nice thing about doing the bookmark - its barely 5 cm across and I think about 15-20 long. I've completely finished my first section (the blueberries) over the weekend - I also did a lot of cooking when I got bored! - and I'm now well into the strawberry section! The aida that came with the kit is really silky so its really quick to stitch, another bonus for me.
I'm working on a Deltic train for Shawn's xmas pressie at the moment (am doing it in secret as he is out at footy a fair bit so will be able to get loads done) I can't decide whether to get it framed or make it into a cushion. Are cross stitch cushions hard wearing? I've never made one.
But as far as Shawn in concerned I'm making my friends Chrimbo pressie (I'm using all the free Disney kits that come with the cross stitch magazines to make a big framed collection) and then I'm starting on the Christmas cards for family and friends.
you are very brave bianca, but it is a winderful kit, its the first project i ever did and it is now proudly hanging on my front wall along with its sister kit , which i also loved doing

when I kiss you goodnight I will
hold you a little tighter, a little longer. It is then, that I will thank
God for you, and ask him for nothing,
Fran - I've usually got more than one project on the go at any one time It took me three years to finish my photo stitch because I kept doing other things inbetween
