Where do you get the dress you are having for your younger Bm or is it just a picture from the pattern to make it? Its exaclty what im looking for but in a different colour!
Paula it's a picture taken from a pattern....a simplicity pattern. I am making it for our youngest daughter who said she wanted to look like a princess...she choose it herself.
They are both lovely but the little one is beautiful, just what I wanted for my daughter who will be two next year, I wonder if i could talk my sister round into making it for me.....I can just about sew a button on! You are very clever, your daughter will look every bit a princess
The picture of the second dress is the ones I have made for my three flowergirls - but I have not used flowers on the skirt - and I have made a bow at the back (the main part is cream and the waistband is a very gorgeous shade of red - only 6 days until they are worn)
Location: The heart of the Ribble Valley - the safest place to live in Lancashire!

Nikki,
Depends on the fabric you choose...........it takes 2 and a half metres of farbic for the bodice........8 metres of tulle for the skirt and i yard of net for under the skirt...these are apporx depending on the age of the girl....also a zip and flowers for the skirt (optional).......you can email me if you like... gail_t_p@yahoo.com
Hi - I just read your reply about how much fabric it takes to make this dress.
I thought it was alot of fabric and when I went into my local fabric shop the bloke in there advised me not to use as much as it says on the pattern.
If you use a lining material for the skirt part - it will save you an absolute fortune, you won't see that it is lining material because the tulle oversirt which will hide it! Also is the wedding in a summer month because if it is - then you will only need half of the tulle oversirt layers (it tells you to make 6 of these but realistically it is going to be too hot so 3 layers will do)
Hope you don't think I am interfering - but it saved me an absolute fortune - I made three of these (they all look gorgeous) and each one only cost me £15 to £20 each - he told me it would cost alot more if I were to use the fabric as stated on the pattern!
The top one will be in Lilac and the bottom one for my flowergirl will be in ivory and wont have the flowers on it, but instead diamonte stones to match the tulle in my skirt.
Very weird that we both chose the exact same dresses!
