diy ceremony
If you are having a simple ceremony but still want to have a keepsake from it, create a order of service scroll. On a piece of gorgeous paper, list the bridal party, wedding date, location and other relevant information, and even insert a favourite poem or line to finish off. Roll up and tie with curling ribbon to match the theme of your day.
For something a little different to fetti and bubbles, buy paper doilies. Make them into a cone shape and fill them with petals. Place on pews or chairs at the ceremony for guests to toss at the bride and groom as they leave as husband and wife! -
Alternatively you can use tulle bags filled with rose petals, or dilly bags made out of the bridesmaids dress material.
If you are not marrying in a church but still want an aisle of some sort, hire posts like in the banks. Substitute the cords for flower garlands to match your wedding theme. This looks absolutely gorgeous.
Make your own pew bows with velvet in a colour to match your wedding. Make sure to wire the ribbon, so it wont flop and look untidy.
Instead of hiring a wedding singer or a choir to perform songs for your ceremony, make a compilation CD of all your favourite songs to play. This is also a great keepsake, and something that the guests can also get a copy of. If marrying in a Church, make sure you find out if they have any specific rules as far as music is concerned.
