Default Place cards

I'm doing everything in cross stitch for my wedding, including the place cards. I'd like tags the size of luggage labels but they need to be 3 fold with an appature so that the stitching can be seen. I've tried craft creations and they don't have them. I'd like to be able to order online, has anyone seen anything that might help me?!

Sorry I haven't seen anything like this at all. I was at a friends wedding last year though and they had a similar thing. They had made them and cut out the card shapes and put the cross stitch names in the right place. Might be worth a go if you can't find them anywhere.

Thanks Teresa, I'm thinking about stitching my motif and then sticking it onto normal card then writing the name in gold pen as it's been impossible to find the sort I want!

it's a long shot but have you tried phoning one of the cross stitch magazines? I think it was christmas before last cross stitch crazy was giving them away as a free gift, they might be able to tell you where they got them from??

I admire you Beth for the cross stitch. How many are you planning for your wedding?

Thanks so much girls

I've decided to go for cream card cut into rectangles and then use a decoupage foam sticker to raise the cross-stitch from the card, then write the name in gold pen or something similar.... if you can picture what I mean

Saph... I'm stitching 50 day invites, 90 place cards and 3 cake 'frills' for the cake Have finished an invite so will try and scan it

Oh good lord, that's a lot of stitching. Can you rope your bridesmaid, sisters, mum into it too? Could be a fun pre-wedding production line night, supply the nibbles and drinks and get them all stitching too.

We did something similar with a friend. She was painting (water colour on the pre-printed flowers) on their placecards, and stamping (embossing) their initials on their Order of Service cover, and making chocolate trains for the male guests, and we had a fun night of it, and got stacks done, so she didn't stress over it all. It was a night we'll all remember as one of the fun parts of her wedding as it was such a nice girls evening, and we talked about everything under the sun.
