Our fantastic holiday!!!!
We have returned from South Wales, bronzed and in my case burned, apparantly having been in some kind of bubble for the last six days, protecting us from the storms the rest of the country seems to have been hit by!
Now, this really isn't everyone's type of holiday (last year it wouldn't have been mine!) but I really cannot plug this sort of place enough for anyone with young kids! It's perfect! We stayed in Trecco Bay caravan park in Porth Caul (sp??) which is near Port Talbot. It's perfect for families, it really is! Our caravan was big enough to not feel cramped and George found lots of things to hold on to and shuffle round with. We were a minute's walk from a beautiful beach when I could lie down while Nick and G played a lot, and I got a sunburn. ON the park itself there was all the usual holiday park tat - arcades, swimming complex, go-karts, bars, chip shop, bakery, etc etc...... stuff I would normally avoid like the plague but somehow, I suspect a week in Vienna admiring the architecture wouldn't quite have suited the Boy Wonder as much as this did!
Will post pics later but I warn you, they'll all be "Here's George being gorgeous..." "oh, and here he is being really cute" "And here he is being adorable again......." BORING!!!!

Nooooooooooo!!!! Not Trecco Bay...... Porthcawl isn't too far away from Cardiff, although I never did stay there, Tenby was the place I ventured in a "big caravan holiday" when I was 16!!
Sounds like you had a great time.... did you go to the "funfair"??

Ahhh Nikki ~ what absolutely GORGEOUS photos!! Your little boy is so so very cute!!!!
I always think with regards to holidays its not where you go, but what you make of it (well, apart from some cases) but anyway, you have all made a wonderful holiday out of this, and I'm so glad that you had a wonderful time!
Ouch = sunburn!!!

Sounds like you had a fab hol Nikki! Love the pics of George (could never bore of them )
I've already warned Mark that when we have kids we're holidaying in the UK for the 1st 5/6 years until they're old enough to behave on an airplane! I spent most of my holidays as a kid in the Lake District and Woolacoombe bay, Devon ............... <Lo floats off into a distant memory....>

I'm the same Lo...... didn't go abroad on an airplane until I was 13, although I did go to France with school when I was 12!
I loved my family holidays as a kid, Devon, Cornwall, little places in Wales that I can't really remember oh yeah and the Isle of White!
Nikki, that boy gets more gorgeous every time I see new piccies of him, baby no. 2 is going to be as equally as gorgeous I'm sure

Lovely those piccis!! Anymore? I bet George had a fab time!
Before I had Max I was a European City person..but for the last couple of years Max has enjoyed some fantastic caravan park holidays in Great Yarmouth, and Poole (Blue flag !! ) and He has really enjoyed them. We didn't really stay in the parks the whole time except to use the pools but the caravans were great and exiting for a young boy!! I n fact I think the British seaside has loads to offer and we absolutly Dorset! He is nearly old enought to be doing the Barcelona tapas bar/Florence Ufitzzi (sp) thing but until He is....

Its not so far from my in-laws in Barry and my granddad lives in Port Talbot.
George looks loverly in the pics, Nikki. Was it his first beachy holiday?
