As I know you guys are always a good font of information so I thought I'd see if you have any advice on the Abruzzo region of Italy?

Hubbbie and I are off for 9 nights in September , I have booked 4 nights at a hotel on the coast and then planning to explore in land as this part of Italy has the large national parks. Loads of small hill top villages (have booked 2 nights as a posh hotel at one of the villages) but we still have 3 nights to book.

Has anyone on here been to this part of Italy or know of anyone who has as we'd really appreciate any tips you may have. I felt as if I have been surfing the web for ages - not moaning as I love researching holidays.
