Right folks, having not left British Soil for a Holiday in over 5 years, im not too sure what I should be taking with me (ie, mums not coming so wont have it all sorted!!), so all you well travelled lovelies are going to need to help me!!

Ive got the most important thing - my flight socks - and all the toiletries we will need but im off out tomorrow for last minute bits and bobs and anything that you can think that I should be taking would be very much appreciated!!

Ive got our suncream and Nurofen which are both tres important!

Oh god Paula, I take literally everything with me!!! Honestly.. I dont like being away without literally the contents of my house...

And funny, as soon as you are asked such a specific question, well your mind just has to go BLANK doesnt it?!?!

Most things you can buy if there is anything you forget to take.

I guess importantly, any prescribed medication! Oh and take Insect Repellant... Otherwise those bugs will be buggy you all holiday! x

I always make a mini first aid kit containing:

Plasters
Sun cream, after sun & Burn cream (or aloe vera gel)
Rennie's, bug repellent and after bite stuff
savlon, wet wipes, tissues (handy packs are ideal!)
imodium, cold & flu tablets, alka seltzer and sore throat sweets (you may not need them, I take them as insurance!)
I've also bought a plug in repellent thing from superdrugs, I plug it in at night and only got bitten once in Greece!
And finally - travel wash (coz chlorine is a bugger so it's good to rinse swimmies each day!)

For us, I pack: books, cards, frisbee, hats (a must) then a selection of "longs" (trousers and sleeved tops for those colder evenings)

Glad you managed to get everything you need.

I'm off to do the same thing soon for our honeymoon.

If you do forget anything important, the airport shops normally have most things you'd need. And lots of things you don't. I normally spend a fortune before I've even got on the plane.
