Unhappy We've cancelled our Egypt holiday

Well, after a long hard think, we've decided to pull the plug on our holiday to Egypt in January. We figured it was just too big a risk, especially with it being just after Xmas with all the religious festivals and stuff going on.

We've lost our £200 deposit but I'd rather that than lose Al, my life or a limb We could have gone somewhere else but the fees to change the booking were almost as much and I was going to end up taking unpaid holiday for some of it anyway having just changed jobs. It almost means we can spend the balance of the holiday on the house instead.

Oh well, it gives us more time in the house and with our pup if we've got one by then. It almost means I still have some holiday left so can spend some long weekends away, either with my folks down south or at the cottage in Wales.

Ho hum...

Lauz

I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.

Ah Lauz

Think you have done the right thing.
Countries are there forever so you go another time

Plus you will have lots of cosy time in your new house and be able to spend the money on building your nest!

Am sorry to hear that
As Decords says Egypt is not going anywhere & a holdiay is something you should be looking forward too - not worrying about.
