Default Antigua Honeymoon

After much umming and ahhing about our honeymoon - we have finally agreed on Antigua. We are probably going to go to the Sandals Resort which is all inclusive. It looks wonderful in the brochure and it is an eight hour flight which is not too bad - I hate flying but think I can manage it.

We are hoping to book it next week.

OMG I love Antigua and have been there twice.

Have you actually booked Sandals yet? If not... WAIT!!!!!

Take a look at the Jolly Beach resort which is also all inclusive as it is on a nicer part of the island. I'm sure Sandals would be great but when I did a catamaran trip around the island, the Sandals resort was on the Atlantic Ocean side and looked a bit dingy.

Jolly Beach is on the Caribbean Sea side and has lovely warm crystal clear water

I think their website is www.jollybeach.com or something like that.

I'm not at all jealous especially as I couldn't really take Al now having been there with my ex.

You'll it I promise you.

The flight is a doddle - just take a book and some puzzles plus the inflight movies are usually pretty good.

There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs go to sleep.

Hmmm, just noticed your wedding date.

Is your honeymoon in August too as that is jellyfish season in the Caribbean when all the jellyfish come into shore? The weather is also usually unbearably hot and it's getting close to hurricane season.

Just some thoughts for you to ponder on...

I haven't been on here for ages but spotted your post on Antigua. We honeymooned in Antigua last June and stayed at Galley Bay - it was paradise and I would thoroughly recommend it if you haven't already booked.

There are a few piccies here

The beach http://groups.msn.com/HitchedGirls/g...o&PhotoID=8914

The view from our balcony - we were right on the beach http://groups.msn.com/HitchedGirls/g...o&PhotoID=8912

The huuuugge bathroom with his and hers showers at the back ! http://groups.msn.com/HitchedGirls/g...o&PhotoID=8913

That all sounds fab. I'd love to go to Antigua. We're thinking of somewhere like that soon as we got lots of holiday vouchers as wedding presents.

Hi Teresa

If you go before August next year - you will have to let me know what its like. It looks wonderful in the brochures.

Friends of ours have just got back from St Lucia which I think is meant to be really nice as well.
