Well, we had an amazing time in old romantic Venice.
We arrived in the evening and took the water taxi to our hotel which was on the water a few mins walk from St Marks Square. It was all dark when we arrived........
The hotel was gorgeous, as you can see we had our own little block (the whole red building with the balcony!)
My birthday was wonderful, the sun shone all day and we had a long boozy lunch along the water side.......so tasty............prawn and champagne risotto my fav Then the hotel had put some champagne on ice in our room so it was waiting for me when we got back that night (must have seen all my birthday cards as we hadn't told them!)
Anyway the rest of the hols was the same, booze, food, walks, talks ahhh all in

So glad you had an amazing time over there and really had a smashing birthday.
Thanks for the photos! I want to go now. Is it very expensive over there can I ask? Just me and J are going to have a european break around Xmas, and it looks just fabby!
