Honeymoon - Brazil? - Wedding Forum

As you know, our wedding is only 5 months away, and no honeymoon has been booked as of yet.

Jonathan, bless his heart, as been looking at all destinations.

He's been checking the weather etc, to ensure little rain and warm weather.

Anyway, Rio in Brazil has now become a favourite, because it can offer beach and city life which is what ideally we want.

Dont really know much about Rio or Brazil to be honest. Have any of your Groovers been before, or do you know anyone who has?

Whats the verdict if so? x

Brazil fab

Rio.....sorry to say, a scary, very rough place BUT that is just what I have found through research so don't quote me on that.....just really look hard at it.

What about Cape Town? Fab weather, beaches, city and a bit of safari?

Sorry to put down Rio but just what I have read etc as we were going to go there.

Brazil is supposed to be beautiful though

I have not idea I'm afraid. I've heard that Brazil is lovely. A friend of mine went there on holiday a while ago and had a fab time.

Mates of mine went recently (ie in the past 6 months). I'll ask them about ti again when I see/chat to them next.

For some reason in my head I think they really liked it but not 100% sure if this is all in my imagination!

I've heard the same as Decords - travel shows always say how scary Rio is regarding theft and how people don't feel safe.

We're now starting to also pick up that Rio can be quite dangerous and scary.

We are thinking now maybe Hawaii & combining it with Las Vegas, but havent totally decided yet - as we both do like the look of Rio.
