Now before K has a heart attack, I'm asking this on behalf of a single friend (I'll tell you who tonight, darling )
A friend of mine who split from her partner last year is considering booking a singles holiday, travelling around cultural sites in Europe, etc. She'd like to know if anyone has had experience of these in the past, or know anyone has been on one. She's mainly concerned about the sorts of people you're likely to find on them

I take it that kind of hol in her age bracket would be rather cultural and lovely? I have no idea what they are like but am dying to know, as long as there aren't slimey folk there it sounds great!

My mum does LOTS of singles holidays, although most of them are through "SAGA" so for the over 50's.. I know she's used Page & Moy before now as well..... but they're not cheap!

A friend of mine did one last year and has booked again this year as he had a great time. Not sure where he is going this time, but last year he went to Greece and Italy on a cultural tour kind of thing for 2 weeks. He had a great time and said that most of the people he met were lovely and they were all different ages too.

My Mum really wants to go on one, and has been talking about it for several years, but has yet to pluck up the courage. I keep telling her to try a weekend first, and build up from there.
Our friend Louise (in her 30's) has the most fantastic time on Solo's holidays. She's been to loads of different places and made lots of new friends.
I'd also recommend Travelbag if she's not too worried about 5 star hotels etc. Travelbag put together groups of up to 16 people from all over the country and have them travelling round together for a week/2 weeks.
We went away with them last year and there were loads of single ladies/chaps travelling with us. There was a great group atmosphere and we're still in contact with a lot of them now.
