Question How much for your honeymoon?

Seeing as I'm still soppy surfing, I thought I'd ask you guys about your honeymoons.

1) How much did you spend on your honeymoon?
2) Was it worth it?
3) In hindsight, would you do it again?

Ta folks.

I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.

1) How much did you spend on your honeymoon? Just over £3000 for 2 weeks all inclusive in the Maldives. That included everything including all our diving and we did about 12 dives each.

2) Was it worth it? Definately, we had the most amazing time.

3) In hindsight, would you do it again? Yes although I think I would possibly combine it with a few nights somewhere a bit more lively like Dubai maybe. Although we had an amazing time, there wasn't much going on in the evenings and if it hadn't bee for the diving and all the water sports I think we may have got a bit bored just laying on the beach for 2 weeks.

We're just about to book to go to Canada....gulp...£3290. It's completely blown the budget, but the idea of hiring a motorhome just didn't look so appealing once we'd seen the luxury hotels!! I am a bit scared about spending the money (I am normally quite thrifty and cautious!) but we're only going to do it once. Calgary for one night, then two nights in Banff, two in Lake Louise, one in Sun Peaks, two in Harrison Hot Springs and three in Vancouver. I'll probably never be able to afford a holiday again, but I'm so excited!!!

1) How much did you spend on your honeymoon? : About £2k I think to New Zealand
2) Was it worth it? Absolutely. We stayed for half the time with K's friend which helped with cutting costs, and stayed in motels which came to about £40 a night.
3) In hindsight, would you do it again? Definately. Everyone should visit New Zealand if they possibly can.

We've managed to get a quote for our honeymoon for just over 3k, but it's not quite booked yet. A few things need slightly tweaking somewhat.

Cant say yet whether it will be worth it, but I am sure it will be, and I'm also sure we'd do it again. xxx

Oh God, meet the cheapskate..... we only decided to have one at the last minute .....

How much was it? About £200 each, flights from Ryan Air (£4 each way) and budget accommodation (it was all that was left anyway) for four nights in Venice over New Year.

Was it worth it? Too bloody right, we loved it!

Would we do it again? Yes, and next time I'd do it in style, in posh hotels and stuff. In about fifteen years when the kids are grown!

For the record, I HAVE always fancied a posh holiday on a beach somewhere one day, but not for the moment.... I like to just find accommodation and a flight, and explore!

Liz, we were looking at almost the very same trip last night in the travel agents!!! Looking at getting to Banff using the train (I'm sure she said it was called the Gold leaf service).

However, it turned out to be tres expensive and we really need 2 weeks to get round everything (Steve's only got a week he can use - darn) so we'll have to wait till next year.

I'd be really interested to hear all about your honeymoon if you have time afterwards. I never fancied Canada until last night and now i'm hooked!!!

1) How much did you spend on your honeymoon? About £2,500.00

2) Was it worth it? Good God yes - saw so much of the United States and met so many interesting people.

3) In hindsight, would you do it again? I would but i'd try and space it out a bit more. We had three weeks but we packed so much into it we needed a rest at the end. I'm definitely of the mind that less is more at the moment.

1. I think we have expensive taste... Ours was just over £4k... (but we did have years and years to save up!)
2. But it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo worth it. Two weeks of all inclusive luxury, double jacuzzi in the bedroom, 24 hour room service, loads to do. We also had upgraded flights - totally worth it when spending nine hours on a plane.
3. Would definitely do it again! (The chance would be a fine thing!!)
