Default Liz - your honeymoon!

You said in KM's post that you've just booked your honeymoon too. Where are you off to?

Ooh, I forgot I hadn't told you! We're going to Canada!

Flying into Calgary for a night, then picking up a car and driving to Banff for two nights and then on to Lake Louise for two nights. Then we drive back into British Columbia with a one night stop over at Sun Peaks followed by two nights at Harrison Hot Springs for some pampering. Then finally we're spending three nights in Vancouver taking in some city life.

We've decided to push the boat out and stay in 4 and 5 star hotels...I'm so excited! We're even staying in Chateau Lake Louise which I have been desparate to do since I first saw a photo of it (before I knew where it was!) years ago. We've never actually been on a holiday abroad together (if you count out 48 hours in Prague) and always go camping/caravanning/roughing it, so this will be heaven!!

That sounds absolutely fabulous!

For your first holiday abroad, it's certainly going to be hard to beat.

I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.

You are going to have an amazing time. It all sounds wonderful.

I went to Canada about 4 years ago and Calgary, Banff and Lake Louise are all lovely. We didn't get to stay in the chataux but we went and had a look around and its wonderful.

I'm glad the Chateau is nice...people keep telling me it's a monstrosity that shouldn't have got planning permission and ruined the view. My latest line is "what a shame that must be for all the people looking at it, luckily I'll be taking in the unspoilt view from my balcony". Heeheehee

Sounds fantastic - I'd love to go there. I'm sure you'll have the time of your lives. I have some friends who have been and loved it so much they want to emigrate!
