My new passport has come - Wedding Forum

I only posted all of the documents last week, and my new passport has arrived today.

Feels odd looking at it with my new name on!

I dont know why I was worried about it initially as it was really very simple to do. Shame they had to charge me £42 for the priviledge though. My old passport had 7 years left on it, so wanted to change it now rather than 7 years down the line.

Fab news - not sure how they justify charging £42 though. You will need to start practising your new signature now. Its gonna be weird having a new name and new signature - weird but nice.

I haven't practised it yet - I'm still debating whether to keep the Rose which is my surname and hyphenate it with Starkins. Probably I will just become Sara Starkins which is a lot simpler. I haven't quite got my head around my new name yet though.

That is fab news you've got it so quickly. I am still waiting for mine nearly 3 months after I sent the forms off.

I rung them the other day and they have recieved it all and said it has been processed but I haven't had it back yet. I hope it arrives soon as we went and booked out holiday at the weekend and we're going in June.

Thats appauling that your passport application is taking so long! Especially when mine has taken a week.

Bloody hell Teresa that's taking a while. I had to renew mine and the kids last year and they were through in 2 weeks. That's without using their fast track service too!!!
