Default Where to go on honeymoon?

Now we've booked the actual wedding, I want to think about where to go for our honeymoon.
Where are the best places to go in August?
We have a budget of about £900 each and I know from experience that it won't go very far with it being the school holidays. I want to book fairly soon as well, because otherwise those weeks get taken really quickly.
Any advice/tips very welcome please.

Hiya Rach

Do you know what kind of honeymoon you want?

Do you want sun, sea and sand?
Fancy somewhere in Europe?

Was going to ask the same as Karen Michelle. Let us know what you fancy and I'm sure between us all we'll put you on the right track.

Doh, sorry I forgot to mention that.

We would really like a beach holiday, somewhere where we can really relax in beautiful surroundings.

I've heard the Seychelles are nice, but have no idea whether or not this is in our price range.

Have a look at some of these options Rach:-
http://www.holidayholidayholiday.co....artairport=any

I like 13 nights in a 4 star Kenyan hotel, on a beach, full board for £885 each - but there are loads of other options too.

Oh, how about 14 nights in a 6 star carribean hotel for £918 full board??

Dominican Republic 5 star all inclusive for £829 each?

When exactly is your wedding Rach - and when would you want to go on honeymoon?

Just checked your other recent posts - you're getting married August 6th. As you live in Nottingham, what airport(s) would you be prepared to travel from?

Thanks so much Karen, I'm about to take a look at all the sites you've suggested.
We really don't mind where we fly from. It would be easier if it was East Midlands, Birmingham or Manchester but We can travel down to London.
Thanks again.

All inclusive 4 star hotel in Cuba, flying from Manchester on Friday 12th august - £1996.80 for two.

Don't forget, once you have found something/somewhere you like, you can always try and barter the price down. Read this article for more help on how to do this:-

Wow, Karen thanks. You're a real expert at this aren't you?
We went to the travel agents this morning and two of the places we like are the islands off Cuba and Mexico.
The Cuba one above is a fantastic deal, but it's too late for us as Lee has to be back at work for Wednesday 24th, which means we have to go away on the 8th or 9th August at the latest really if it's for 2 weeks.
Has anyone been to Mexico or Cuba and, if so, where are the best places and what did you think?
Thanks again. x

Brian's been to Mexico and he loved it. He stayed at Cancun and says he'd recomend it to anyone.

How set in stone is your budget - if the holiday is all inclusive, can the budget be increased slightly?

And I am bored at home on a wet windy day off - what else should I be doing?

Actually, our budget will be about £1200 per person. Having looked at a few prices for this time of year, I think that's more realistic!
You're right Karen, the weather is miserable today isn't it?
I thought maybe you were an undercover travel agent!

I don't think you'll have too much bother finding somewhere you love for that budget
