Well, depsite being really poorly, we still managed to have a good time.
I managed not to snap at Al's folks during the whole week although I had to leave Al to deal with them when they almost got Buddy killed by leaving the front door open when they went out. I was ill in bed at the time and only woke up because I could hear Al shouting the dog's name with absolute panic in his voice. I leapt out of bed and saw the dog running towards the very busy and very fast A82. I sprinted down the stairs and called Buddy and luckily, he came back - phew! Al is now of the same opinion as me that they are not suitable to look after the dog if we go away anywhere. They'd try and tell him off when he was naughty but they'd be laughing or petting him, like he's going to take notice of that

Anyway, this has turned into a bit of a rant when it wasn't meant to
So, back to the holiday...
The weather was pretty bad, it rained or snowed almost every day but we'd anticipated that so had appropriate clothes.
On one day we drove over to Malllaig (we decided against taking Buddy on the train just yet) but the road practically followed the railway so we saw everything we wanted to, including the Glenfinnan viaduct as featured in Harry Potter. We also went up the gondola on Ben Nevis and took Buddy for a walk up there in the snow. He loves snow and bounces around like a spring lamb

We drove over to Dalwhinnie one day for lunch and took Buddy for a nice walk. We also went to Inverlochy Castle, a ruin, our fave
Um, I managed to read two books and play a few games. Buddy had lots of walks, Steall Falls was very nice and he was a real mountain dog.
Then at the end of the holiday, we went to stay at a hotel near Biggar in the Scottish Borders because on the Sunday, we had a meeting in Peebles with the Manager at the place we're having as our wedding venue. The place was everything we hoped for and we loved it
Anyway, here's some pics...
