and the most amazing skiing! the snow was like powdery snow. Lovely for landing face down in. It was bloomin freezing though, hence the balaclavas and padding.
If you ever want to go somewhere fab for skiing, go here!

I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.
Looks fantastic! Did you go through a tour operator or book everything yourself? I really really want to go skiing in the states but it looks kinda expensive so any advice would be brilliant!

Remember that the things around you are never as important as whose arms are around you.
We did it on our own. We booked flights to Boston through BA, hired a jeep thingy and just booked into dirt cheap accomodation (all on the net). We even booked our ski passes and hire on the net. The good thing is that not going through a package means you can go to places that are less crowded. Pico is just around the corner from Killington, but it was packed out in Killington (full of limeys apparently!!!!).
We've done a couple of skiing trips to the US non-package stylee and you get sooo much more for your money and freedom! It was scary the first time, though.
This is the resort we went to so we booked through them. We got some great savings like free lunch and a lesson when you booked the pass and hired the skis etc.
Just take a look at the resort you're planning on going to. Many have online facilities or you can email them.
