Default We're off

I have just booked a holiday. Go me!

We decided that we could just about afford a holiday after all, and after getting all the caravan site brochures on Sunday, narrowed it down to a Haven site in North Wales. Mark chose Greenacres in Porthmadog last night. I bought a discount code on ebay for 99p, and just saved £294!

So, on 9th June we are off to Porthmadog for a week in a gold, Super Deluxe caravan with all linen, gas, electric and entertainment included for £304!

How excited am I? I have never stayed anywhere flash before. I always chose the cheapest of everything!

Hopefully Mum is going to be able to be able to come with us, but it depends upon my brother's health. He has possibly got MS, and can't walk at the moment. We are just awaiting results of a brain scan and nerve conduction studies etc. Otherwise she has to be on hand to look after my 3 year old niece.

(Way to bring an exciting message back down....)

Nicola

And if anyone is planning to book a Haven Holiday, give me a shout and I will tell you the code. It sounded too good to be true 50% off, but it really worked.

That's fantastic news - Porthmadog is lovely. I went there about 10 years ago on a field trip in June and the weather was fantastic.

Sorry to hear about your brother - I hope you get some good news when the results arrive.

Thats great that you're getting a break and well done for the promo code! I'd be too sceptical to buy anything like that but it obviously works!

So sorry to hear about your brother too

Good news on the break, that should be great. Very sad about your brother though, I hope the outcome is more positive than you're expecting.

I was very sceptical about the promotion code too, but I thought for 99p it couldn't hurt. Then I was emailed it about an hour later and then I phoned and used it!

Apparently the neurologist doesn't think he has MS, as the brain scan is clear and the nerve conduction studies showed only a tiny bit of nerve damage. He has been discharged from that clinic and told to go back to his GP. So it is anyone's guess what is wrong with him that he can't walk and has limited feeling in his hands, problems with his eyes, bladder and goodness knows what else. So although it seems to be good news so far, something is causing him a lot of problems.

Great news about the holiday. I love caravan holidays and always think if you have young kids you can't go wrong with a caravan near a beach and buckets and spades. Hope you have lovely weather and enjoy yourselves.

Hope they get to the bottom of what's wrong with your brother

Blimey Nicola!!! We are going there in September..great minds think alike eh? Though we are only in a silver caravan, so not as posh as you guys. Sorry to hear about your brother, that sounds grim poor thing.

Definately Shrewsbury! We booked early, so only paid 50% of the book price anyway.(smug icon alert!) I love a bargain holiday. Thanks though, Jill
