Summer holiday
It's that time of year again where the M cGlashan family are wondering where to go on holiday. Only thing is, we can't decide where to go, so we were wondering if any of you had any recommendations. We want to go around September time (cheaper!), and would ideally like a kid's club that will accept 2 year olds, as we would like a few days to relax in front of the pool and read Plus it would be good for Grace to be around other kids, and not be bored.
So anyone got any recommendations??

Oooh I was just gonna post this thread myself!
We're looking for the exact same thing, same time of year BUT the only additional extra is it needs to be a really flat location.
Any tips gratefully received!

Ive been looking to! As were tjhinking of going in Sept/Oct. At the moment ive been looking at costa del sol to the same hotel we went to last feb. It was lovely but wouldnt be suitable for you Nids as not flat enough. Tyhe weather is good though at that time of year. Other places are Greek Islands and just found a lovely place in Croatia!
Websites ive found good are Holiday hypermarket, Portland Holidaysand Alpharooms. Hope that helps

I was thinking along the same lines! Brid is lovely with little kids and Scarborough. Give them a bucket and spade at that age and they're happy as larry

Jill, good idea! Not sure how Niddy would feel though
Well we have now decided to sell our house so it may be a holiday-free year after all

Jill, ooooh you've missed your calling in life, my mate works for Thomas Cook, I'll ask him to get you a job there if ya like?
Jen, at least we know the kids would be entertained with each other, we could just lie back with a nice cocktail and a good book, whatcha reckon?

Hi Jen,
I know you've since said you may not be able to go afterall with having put your house on the market but I'll reply anyway!
I dont know anywhere that accepts 2 year olds in their Kids Clubs, any I have looked at seem to be from around aged 4 onwards.
Thomsons are great with catering for children though and they do have creches for babies & toddlers which excel in health and safety. The super family resorts have so much on for children of all ages. Seems like it would tick all of your boxes.
I think any of the Canary or Balleric Island would be perfect with guaranteed sun! Its a shame as even in the UK you cant guarantee sun anymore! I dunno what happened to 'last summer'

Thanks KM It is still an option, though I think we're not going to book anything just yet. I've looked around and it is the creche thingies I meant I'll have a look at Thomson's website, one of the best bits is looking for the holiday, so I can at least do that Haven't you been to Lanzorote recently? I quite like the idea of there - I have been but I ws 17 so just a few years ago

Fuerteventura is great for families. We flew with Thomson and stayed here Hotel in Fuerteventura - Fuerteventura Hotel - Barcelo Fuerteventura Thalasso Spa Hotel - Barcelo.com
There is a kids pool, and when we went with A when she was 3ish, you can sit and watch them whilst reading / drinking cocktails, and teh water is really shallow so safe with one of those rubber ring lilos. Half board / big rooms too!

The beach areas in Bulgaria have been renovated and are really lovely now. I havent been for years but my friend's parents have bought a place over there and love it.
I used a good site called bulgariaski when we were heading over there last year and they have a sister beach site that might be worth a look Beach Bulgaria - All Black Sea resorts, holidays and bookings

I went about 15 years ago Nids. Stayed at sunnybeach and loved it. Yes, it was quiet flat as i recall. Have a look at Balkan Holidays.
