Default Plans so far...

I've been thinking of what I am going to do and where to go when I am in Australia. So far my plans are looking something like

Arrive in Sydney, stay with relatives in Leura, Blue Mountains for a few weeks for a break. Then possibly head to Thredbo, for the ski resorts to try and get some work there. May even learn to ski as its something I have never done before. Then after I have got some money together. I plan to travel up the east coast, using a tour company but it is not restricted so you can get off and get back on when you like. End up in Cairns. Then try and get more work to get more money so I can then head to my next destination.

I'm starting to get a little excited now

I apologise in advance if I start to bore you all rigid with constantly talking about it....

Hi!

I didn't realise you're going to Oz too!! For a bit longer than me by the sound of it!

Are you going alone?

Defo try skiing! It's the best. I would have tried in Oz, but I think we're going too early in the season.

After Cairns, would your next destination be in Australia or somewhere else?

One of my friends travelled and worked in Australia and other places, so if you want any info, I'll ask her for you.

Sounds exciting to me Karen!!! You can look on this website (Australian Snow Information - snow - ski.com.au ) for possible employment in the ski fields in Australia. You might find work in Jindabyne too, which is the town near Perisher.

And Cairns is really great for backpackers/travellers, there's always something to do and some sort of work somewhere. Lots of cheap accom too.

Woohoo!!!

Hi, yeah I am going on my own for a year, just working my way round Oz finding work as I go along to get the cash to keep travelling. Not sure if I will leave Oz cos of money and how easy it is to get visas but if I can I might head for NZ for a bit.

Any info I can get is great

NZ is glorious, particularly the South Island, I strongly recommend it!

I don't think there is anything about your adventure that could be called boring honey.

You keep telling us what you're up to.
