Default Cottage by the sea

Hi there,
I know that most of you are not from ireland and am not sure how many have been but I have tried to find my ideal holiday destination for ages and so far no luck.

I want to rent a cottage right on the coast. The closer the sea the better. I know this is normally something for hot climates but I can just imagine sitting all cosy in front of the fire, wine in hand watching the waves rage outside.

I would prefer in ireland as this would reduce travelling costs a little although in scotland or northern england would also be fine.

I would also settle for a hotel or b&b with same things, though still like the ides of renting. And cheap(ish).
So a nice hard list to follow then!!! He He!!!
Anyone help?

Hi

Im from Ireland! Where had you got in mind and what time of year are you talking about? The west coast of Ireland is beautiful at any time of year, yes its wild in the winter but if you like the thought of sitting in front of an open fire there's no where nicer!!

I teach so prob oct, feb, or next easter.
Prob nowhere much further down than dublin, on either coast would be fine. Live on north coast so don't want to travel too far to get there.

Just googled a few sites you can have a look at:

Irish Thatched Holiday Cottages in Donegal, Ireland

Woodford Log Cabin

Hopefully you might find something that suits!
