Default UK Breaks

Since I'm hopefully going to end up in the teaching profession, i just wondered how people with kids or other teachers etc. manage to get away given the price hikes you get during the holidays.

I used to do loads of cheap long week-enders, but this is going to be impossible soon.

Any suggestions?

Horribly Mella - the teaching term ruins your long weekends!! Unless you are lucky enough to work for one of the few authorities which have swopped to the 'new' five term thing - until the rest of us catch up!

Holiday wise, you DO end up having to go away at peak times. The only way to avoid paying a fortune is:

1) Go with someone like Ryanair and hope you get accommodation when you get there!

2) Take pot luck on last minute deals.

Otherwise, book in advance, be comfy - and pay!

Sad but true!

N xxx

PS: Never mind - it's still the most rewarding job in the universe!
