Question The Hayman Island

We are thinking of going to The Hayman Island for our honeymoon, near the Great Barrier Reef.

Plan might be stop off for a night or two in Hong Kong on the way there, go to The Hayman Island, then on to the Philippines and then back home again. We've had a quote and its not too bad but we think h2b's BM can get things booked cheaper for us from Singapore.

Anyone been to The Hayman Island or know of someone who has?

Here is the link: http://www.whitsundays.com/ Looks sooo nice! Not sure about all the flying though

I know what you mean about the flying Bee, long flights bore me stupid as well.

However, JUST LOOK AT THAT PLACE - IT'S GORGEOUS!!!!

Think you might have to bite the bullet sweetie - it looks wonderful and well worth the flight.

The Whitsundays are supposed to be completely stunning!! If you've got long enough to do it justice, I say go for it!!

Being a Queenslander by birth, this is the thread for me!!

Sadly I haven't been to Hayman but my brother used to work on Lindeman Island, and I've been to the Whitsundays before. All the islands there are wonderful, you'll have a ball I guarantee. Weather is pretty consistent and not too hot either. Friendly staff, great food (do I sound like the Queensland Travel Bureau yet??) - what more can you ask?

Do it - you'll love it!

You must go on a boat trip (preferably yacht) and on a glass bottomed boat. Proserpine (where you fly in to from Brisbane) is not too exciting so don't spend time there.

Take lots of sunscreen.
